A historic event! Salem High School will be retiring Evelyn Oquendo's #24 jersey. Ms. Oquendo, a basketball legend and the current physical education teacher at Collins Middle School will be the first female athlete to have their number retired in Salem Public Schools's history!
This is a long time coming as Ms. Oquendo's commitment to Salem students in unmatched and her legacy is cemented as an athlete, coach, and mentor in our schools.
